After Midnight Sales-How to record Mid-Night sales in previous day sale-Microsoft Dynamics NAV LS?

We are going to discuss a scenario where we need to do sales after mid night but the sale should reflect in the previous day sale. Typically scenario happens in hospitality industry where Night Bar or high end restaurant are open till 3 in the morning. Let us see how can we achieve this in LS NAV 2018.

We are going to use functionality which is available in LS NAV 2018 called Retail Calendars. We can attach the retail calendars in the store card with opening and closing timing along with it.

Lets start!

1. In the search bar, type retail calendar
   

2. Create new calendar and put the following information. Calendar Type as Opening Hours, Goup type as Store.

3. In the Opening hours tab put the starting date, Ending date and time from and time to. Make sure Midnight Open boolean is checked. Please refer to the below screen.

4. The same way put the information in the Closed Tab, Put the starting date, ending date and closing hour time.

5. Go to the store card and select the retail calendar which you created in above step. Now once you select the above calendar it will record the sale after mid night as previous day sale. You can try passing transaction after 12 AM it will pass transaction in the previous day sale.
